2016 has been absolutely insane- my art has suffered a bit. Despite this, I feel like I have changed as an artist a lot, if only mentally. The introduction of Star Wars into my life, and writing a novel, has suddenly made me want to draw things other than horses. I want to be able to draw humans, clothes, vehicles, buildings, landscapes, planets... and while right now I suck at all of those things, I think that wanting to not suck at them is a very important step for me as an artist.
Honestly I'm afraid of what 2017 has to bring (I have a creeping suspicion that I'm going to die), but I hope that with the lows it'll also bring on some amazing highs!

I think that this drawing is proof that sometimes you just have to not worry about getting things right and just do it. It was completed in a very short a
